Antique Full Stock Percussion Long Rifle

Antique full stock percussion long rifle. 40.75” barrel, caliber unknown. The rifle features a striped maple full stock, steel hammer and lock and a brass trigger guard, crescent butt plate and ramrod tubes. The rifle is in fair condition. It is mechanically functioning but has cosmetic wear and replacement parts. The barrel has a heavy patina and shows signs of having been buffed. The pins holding the stock to the barrel appear to have been replaced as does the lock plate. The bore has not been visually inspected. The rifle has two adornments tacked to the right side of the stock, a crescent moon engraved with stars, and a cast metal cross medallion. It is unknown whether these were period adornments or later enhancements.
